The team

  • Managing director and chair

    Thea Louise Musæus May

    Thea founded the club with Nick in 2013. She looks after the horses and your bookings, and is the lead organiser of events. She teaches when Nick is not available, and plays chukkas.

  • Coach

    Nick May

    Nick teaches most of the polo and riding lessons, and leads the teaching and riding at events. He plays chukkas and is one of the hosts of the NRG Podcast.

  • Polo groom

    Hannah Griffiths

    Hannah looks after the polo ponies on the farm.

The club’s horses are your partners on the field. Thea and Nick introduce them.

  • PleasureOne of the kindest. Looks after everybody, and takes polo very seriously.
  • PrinceA retrained racehorse. Fast and agile.
  • Azarax (“Hammer”)Very handsome, and one of the most sensitive.
  • SollyThe most laid-back dude on the planet.
  • AladdinThe second most laid-back, and very sweet.
  • ChocolateHomebred on the farm. Fast and agile, quiet and caring with less experienced riders.
  • Danger MouseFast, incredibly powerful and a brilliant hitting platform.
  • Glen GilmoreThe pony, not the podcast host. Born in June 2018. An absolute idiot, but very entertaining.
  • BanguOne of Hannah’s favourites. Wonderful and caring, not the brightest.
  • MinaThe fastest horse on the farm, and a beauty.
  • Vincent Van HoofSon of Glen Gilmore. A young prospect in training.
  • FlipperHad a difficult start in racing, and is now retraining for polo.
  • EpicMaisie’s mother. Didn’t like polo and wanted to be a mum.
  • MaisieFilly born in 2026, daughter of Epic.
