The Norwegian Polo Club
Privacy
What we collect when you book, why, and the rights you have.
Who is responsible?
Stall Kråketorp Ans, org. no. 913 297 210, Kråketorpveien 5, 1626 Manstad, Norway, is the business behind The Norwegian Polo Club (org. no. 999 286 496) and the data controller for every booking made on this site: polo lessons, chukkas, membership, business and private events, and riding lessons.
The website is run by the club. Send privacy questions to thea@norwegianpoloclub.com and they are passed to the right company.
What we collect when you book
When you send a booking, we ask for:
- name, email and phone number
- service and a preferred date range
- group size and experience with horses or riding
- a message, if you want to write one
We do not ask for health information. Please do not write health information in the message field.
The form sends nothing itself. It writes the request, and you send it from your own WhatsApp or email. The website stores none of what you fill in.
Why, and on what basis
We use the details to handle and confirm your booking and to contact you about it. The legal basis is your request to enter into an agreement, under Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. We do not use the details for marketing.
Who processes the data for us
The website is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. Bookings are added to the Google Calendar on Thea’s email account, provided by Google. Google may process data outside the EEA. The transfer relies on Google Workspace’s data processing terms, which include the EU standard contractual clauses.
If you contact us on WhatsApp or by email, your message is processed by the service you choose.
How long we keep the data
We keep booking requests until the end of the following season. Invoices are kept for five years, as the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act requires. After that they are deleted.
Cookies and tracking
The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers. Fonts and images load from our own server. Podcast episodes load from the podcast’s hosting service only when you press play, and that service then sees your IP address. Links to Instagram and WhatsApp are ordinary links.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, ask us to restrict processing, object, and receive your data in a portable format. Email thea@norwegianpoloclub.com. If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
